Some Of The Important Inventions And Discoveries Done By Muslims

Let us take a look back at several of the most significant and radical inventions and discoveries made by the early Muslims:
Commodities of common daily use Many of the useful commodities that the whole world enjoys at the present time mainly came through Muslims, who, right from beginning, worked hard and actively in making their lives easier. Some of the most famous products of daily life utilize that were discovered by the Muslims in early ages are:

1.  Coffee:
It originated from the Ethiopia in 9th century, when an Arab whose name was Khalid noticed his cattle became more active after eating a certain herb. He used it and therefore coffee came into existence and it was used by Muslim Scholars of that time in Yemen to awake all night long to ibadah (worship). Afterwards, it was taken to Cairo, and then arrived in Turkey in 13th century. The Europe got its hands over coffee till in 16th century when it was taken there for business and trade.

2.  Toothbrush:
Our beloved Holy Prophet (PBUH) used the first ever and initial toothbrush in the form of stick taken from Meswaak tree. Modern era toothpaste also contains same sorts of substances.

3.  Shampoo and Soap:
The Arabs mixed the vegetable with sodium hydroxide and other fragrant similar to thyme oil to make soaps of some type. After that, shampoos were introduced into England by a Muslim originally in the 18th century; he was hired as a Shampooing Doctor to the Kings George IV and William IV. 

Educational progress and advancements
Even though the first ever official institution in the Islamic era goes back to days when Masjid-e-Nabawi was used as a place or site for scholars to learn the Holy Quran and then they would go far off places to teach this to others.

1. First Academia:
In the 9th century, in Morocco, Fatima al-Fihri opened a Madrassa (an educational center) along with a mosque, called the University of al-Qarawiyyin or al-Karaouine, which was meant for both religious and other schooling purposes and it also recorded as the Oldest University in the world.

2. Algebra and Numeric:
In the early 9th century, an Arab Mathematician called Al-Khwarizmi introduced the numbering system and method that is used at present. He was the one who invented the process of raising a number to a power. Algebra that is used till now was also formulated by him consisting of irrational and rational numbers and of geometric order.

3. Fountain Pen:
In 10th century, a fountain pen was invented for the Sultan of Egypt by Muslim, just as like those of pens that we use in the present time.   All of the above discussion shows that Muslims have also been functioning for the common good of a human, and there is no foundation for branding the entire Muslim nation held responsible for condemn able and extremist actions of a group give the wrong impression about individuals who call themselves as Muslims.
