Miqat is the place where a pilgrim going for Hajj or Umrah enters into the state of Ihram. Ihram is not only a dress but also a state of spiritual purity which forbids pilgrims to commit any forbidden things or sins in order to remain pure.<br \/>\nThere are two types of Miqat. One is Miqat-e-Zamani (with time) and the other is Miqat-e-Makani (with place).<b>Miqat-e-Zamani<br \/>\n<\/b>It begins with 1st Shawal and till the last part of the night of 10th Dhul-Hijja.<br \/>\n<img class=\"lazyload\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.makkahtour.co.uk\/images\/5740653f75d07.tumblr_inline_nxqukqYcUX1tp8hes_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<b>Miqat-e-Makani<br \/>\n<\/b>This Miqat is of five types.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For people of Madinah it is\u00a0<i>Dhul-Hulaifa.<\/i><br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0For Syrians it is\u00a0<i>Juhfa<\/i>. These days it is near to a place known as\u00a0<i>Rabigh<\/i>.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For people of Najd it is\u00a0<i>Qarn-al-manazil<\/i>. This place is known today as\u00a0<i>As-Sail.<\/i><br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For Yemen it is\u00a0<i>Yalmalam<\/i>.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For Iraqis miqat is\u00a0<i>Zatu-Irq<\/i>.<br \/>\n<b>Things obligatory for Ihram<br \/>\n<\/b>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To enter into the state of Ihram from Miqat<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For men, avoid wearing stitched clothes<br \/>\nIn case of leaving these two things pilgrim will have to perform sacrifice (<i>dam<\/i>\u00a0as a ransom).<br \/>\n<b>Sunnah of Ihram<br \/>\n<\/b>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To do ghusal and to apply perfume before it<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wearing Ihram with two clothes<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cutting nails before Ihram<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Initiating Ihram by saying \u2018<i>Labaik\u2019<\/i>\u00a0and then keep on saying this.<br \/>\nFor pilgrims who are unable to perform Hajj or Umrah owing to the logistical hurdles\u00a0<b>Hajj packages<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Umrah Packages<\/b>\u00a0will allow them to embark on this sacred journey.
