Umrah is a sacred religious journey, which can be undertaken at any time of the year. A person who performs Umrah must know the rulings, obligation and steps to perform this Holy Journey. Likewise, a pilgrim must be aware of the fact that this journey is a call from Allah Almighty and it can be a new beginning of a sin free life. A person should seek guidance regarding components and obligations of Umrah.<\/p>\n
Tenets of Umrah
\n<\/b>1-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ihram<\/p>\n
Ihram is a state by which you make intention for Umrah. It comes in a Hadith that, \u2018Actions depend upon intentions\u2019.<\/p>\n
2-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Tawaaf<\/p>\n
Prophet (S.A.W.W) has mentioned in a Hadith, \u2018Those of you who do not have means to perform sacrifice; they should do Tawaf and should perform\u00a0Sa-ee<\/i>\u00a0of\u00a0Safah\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Marwah\u2019<\/i>.<\/p>\n
3-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/i>Sa-ee
\n<\/i>And it comes in another Hadith about\u00a0Sa-ee<\/i>, \u2018Peform\u00a0Sa-ee<\/i>, Allah has made it obligatory upon you\u2019.<\/p>\n
Wajibat<\/i><\/b>\u00a0of Umrah<\/b><\/p>\n
1-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To enter into Ihram outside the boundaries of Haram
\n<\/i>
\nProphet (S.A.W.W) told Hazrat Ayesha (R.A) to enter into Ihram for Umrah from\u00a0Maqam-e-Taneem
\n<\/i>
\n2-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To shave your hair<\/p>\n
Prophet (S.A.W.W) said, \u2018the person who performs Hajj or Umrah should get his hair shaved off and should open his Ihram\u2019.<\/p>\n
If a person leaves any of the components of Umrah, his Umrah will not be completed without fulfilling that part. But if a person leaves any obligation of Umrah then it can compensated with the sacrifice of an animal (dam<\/i>). And if a person does intercourse before haircut during Umrah, then he should perform the sacrifice of a camel or a goat as ransom. And if a person intercourses before Tawaf of Umrah and after Tawaf before\u00a0Sa-ee<\/i>\u00a0between\u00a0Safa<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Marwah<\/i>\u00a0then his Umrah will be nullified utterly.<\/p>\n
