The young infant was blubbering with thirst and Hazrat Hajira was desperately seeking water for him. As Makah is a hot dry valley and there were, few water sources so she ran seven times back and forth between Safa and Marwah but could not find water. When the young Ismail scraped the land with his feet, Allah Almighty showed his mercy and quenched the thirst of young Ismail by bouncing out the water. Another interpretation is that Allah sent Gabriel, he kicked the ground with his wing, and water sprang out.

Name of Zam Zam Water
When the water started flowing Hazrat Hajira repeatedly said “Zome Zome”.
