Ramadan and the school holidays are the busiest and dearest times, so booking early secures a lower price and the hotels you want. Prefer a 12-night trip? We can build a custom package. Ready to book? Call 0203 195 8700 for our latest Umrah deals from Manchester, or request a quote. A £49 deposit secures your place.

What's included in your Manchester Umrah package

Every package from Manchester brings together the main parts of your trip. The quoted price and inclusions are confirmed before you book:

  • Return flights from Manchester Airport (MAN) to Jeddah, including airport taxes (direct with Saudia, or via a connection)
  • Hotels in both Makkah and Madinah, near the Haram
  • All ground transfers, including airport pick-up and transport between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah
  • Nusuk visa support to help you meet the visa and booking requirements
  • Guided support before and during your trip

Packages are based on four people sharing, which keeps the per-person price down. The difference between our 3, 4 and 5-star packages is the hotel standard and how close you stay to the Haram, not what's covered.

Optional Umrah extras: added on request

Some things aren't part of the standard package but can be added when you book, so you only pay for what you want:

  • Guided Ziyarat tours: guided visits to the historic sites, such as Masjid Quba, Mount Uhud and Jannat al-Baqi near Madinah and other sites around Makkah (not included as standard; added on request)
  • Meals: half-board or full-board options at your hotel
  • Private transfers: a private car instead of shared group transport
  • Hotel upgrades: a higher star rating or a hotel closer to the Haram
  • Travel insurance: cover for medical costs and cancellation

3, 4 and 5-star Umrah packages from Manchester

We keep three clear tiers so there's a comfortable option at every budget.

3-star Manchester Umrah packages from £595pp

Our 3-star packages suit pilgrims who want a clean, comfortable base without paying for extras. You get tidy rooms with the essentials, shared group transfers, and hotels within a short walk or shuttle of the Haram, which works well for first-time and budget-conscious pilgrims. Example hotels include Emaar Al Khalil in Makkah and Diyar Al Huda in Madinah.

4-star Manchester Umrah packages from £645pp

A step up in hotel standard, our 4-star packages balance comfort and price and suit families and groups. Example hotels include Emaar Grand Hotel in Makkah and Emaar Al Mekhtan in Madinah. Some 4-star Makkah hotels are a little further out, with a complimentary 24-hour shuttle.

5-star luxury Manchester Umrah packages from £715pp

For the shortest walk to the sacred mosques, our premium 5-star Umrah packages from Manchester use hotels such as Makarem Ajyad Makkah (approx. 400m from Masjid al-Haram) and Frontel Harithia in Madinah. Where a package includes a mosque-view room, we'll say so clearly against the named hotel.

Custom Manchester Umrah packages

Prefer to build your own? Tell us your dates, hotel preference and how long you'd like in each city, and we'll match it, solo or with family, including 12-night or 21-night options. We also arrange private Umrah packages from Manchester, with your own transport and itinerary, for families and groups.

Umrah hotels near the Haram in Makkah and Madinah

We arrange your Makkah accommodation and Madinah accommodation in both cities, chosen for comfort and how close they are to the sacred mosques. In Makkah, distance is measured from Masjid al-Haram; in Madinah, from the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi). These are examples of the hotels we use. Your exact hotel depends on your package and travel dates, and is confirmed in writing before you pay.

Flying for Umrah from Manchester Airport (MAN): your departure guide

You can take direct Umrah flights from Manchester to Jeddah with Saudia, into King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED), in around 6 hours 30 minutes, or a lower-cost connecting flight with a short hub stop. Our Manchester Airport Umrah packages depart Terminal 2 with Saudia, or the relevant terminal for your connecting airline.

Which airlines fly from Manchester to Jeddah?

Saudia flies direct from Manchester to Jeddah, usually Terminal 2. Connecting carriers include Qatar Airways (Doha), Emirates (Dubai), Turkish Airlines (Istanbul), Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi), EgyptAir and Gulf Air; British Airways and Saudi low-cost carrier Flynas also serve Saudi Arabia. Your options are direct or a connection — compare cheap flights to Jeddah for your dates.

Manchester to Madinah: direct or connecting?

There are no direct flights from Manchester to Madinah, so Madinah (Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport) is reached via a connection. Many pilgrims fly into Jeddah and travel on to Madinah by road, or fly home from Madinah after starting in Makkah, and we can also arrange flights to Madinah. We plan the routing around your dates.

Getting to Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is well connected across the North West by motorway (the M56) and rail, with direct trains from Manchester Piccadilly Station to the airport's own railway station, and long- and short-stay parking. If you'd rather not drive, ask us about a private transfer from your area to the airport.

Umrah from across Greater Manchester and the North West

Manchester Airport is a large, well-connected airport in the North of England, and departing from it saves pilgrims the trip down to London. We serve Greater Manchester's Muslim population across Rusholme, Longsight, Cheetham Hill, Levenshulme, Didsbury, Salford, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Stockport, Trafford, Tameside and Wigan, arranging Umrah packages for Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and the North West of England, and pilgrims near Manchester. Closer to another city? We also run Umrah packages from London, Birmingham and Glasgow. We arrange your flights, transfers and hotels; call 0203 195 8700 or WhatsApp.

Manchester Umrah Packages for Every Type of Traveller

We tailor packages around who's travelling:

● Families: family rooms or connecting rooms close to the Haram, and comfortable group transport, so travelling with children is easier.

● Groups and mosque groups: one booking for everyone, shared transport and a group guide, which usually brings the per-person cost down. See our group Umrah packages for how mosque and community groups travel together.

● Couples: quieter hotels and flexible dates to suit a first Umrah together.

● Women travelling without a mahram: under current Saudi rules, women can perform Umrah without a mahram (male guardian), usually as part of an organised group. We run women's Umrah groups from Manchester and can advise on your situation.

● Elderly and less-mobile pilgrims: we book hotels within a short walk of the Haram, arrange wheelchair and airport assistance at Manchester Airport and Jeddah, and plan a slower-paced itinerary. Ground-floor or lift-accessible rooms and meet-and-assist on request.

Umrah visa, Nusuk and vaccinations: what UK pilgrims need

For Umrah from the UK you need a valid passport, an approved Umrah visa or eligible visa route, confirmed hotel and transport bookings on the Nusuk platform, and a MenACWY (meningitis) vaccination. We provide Nusuk support and guide you through each step.

Your Umrah visa and Nusuk

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah now links your Umrah visa to confirmed Makkah and Madinah hotels and ground transport via Nusuk-verified providers, which we arrange as one chain. You'll also use Nusuk for your Umrah permit at Masjid al-Haram and a Rawdah (Riyad ul Jannah) appointment in Madinah. Visas last 30 days, or use the Saudi eVisa. We provide Nusuk support; the Saudi authorities issue the visa. See the latest Umrah visa updates for UK pilgrims.

Documents you'll need

● A passport valid for at least 6 months from your travel date

● Recent passport-style photos

● Your MenACWY vaccination certificate

● Confirmed return flights and hotel bookings (included in your package)

MenACWY vaccination

The meningitis ACWY (MenACWY) vaccine is required for all pilgrims and must be given at least 10 days before you arrive in Saudi Arabia, and the certificate is checked at the border. Some NHS GP surgeries give the vaccine but not the travel certificate, so many pilgrims use a private travel clinic or pharmacy (usually around £35 to £60). A conjugate MenACWY certificate is valid for 5 years, so if you performed Umrah recently you may already be covered.

Best times to travel for Umrah from Manchester

You can perform Umrah at any time outside the Hajj season, and we run seasonal departures from Manchester through the year:

● Ramadan Umrah from Manchester is the most popular and busiest time, especially the last ten nights. Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, and places fill months ahead, so enquire early to secure your hotels.

● Easter Umrah packages, the October half-term and Christmas suit families travelling with children during the school holidays.

● December and January Umrah, and the quieter months outside Ramadan and the Hajj season, usually offer the lowest prices.

Tell us your rough dates and we'll suggest a good-value window.

Umrah payment plans and deposit options

You don't have to pay all at once. Secure your Umrah with a £49 deposit and spread the balance before you travel with a payment plan. We set out the deposit, the payment dates and what's due when in writing, before you commit. The quoted price and inclusions are confirmed before booking. You can also book a last-minute Umrah from Manchester when seats and hotels are available, so call 0203 195 8700 for current availability.

Preparing for your first Umrah from Manchester

Preparing for your first Umrah helps. Enter Ihram at the designated Miqat and make your intention (niyyah). The main rites are Tawaf, circling the Kaaba seven times at Masjid al-Haram; Sa'i between Safa and Marwah; and trimming or shaving to complete your Umrah. Many pilgrims also drink from the Zamzam Well. In Madinah, pray at the Prophet's Mosque and, with a Nusuk appointment, visit the Rawdah. This Umrah preparation guide readies first-time pilgrims for their sacred pilgrimage journey.

Which month should I choose for Umrah from Manchester?

Any month outside Ramadan, the Hajj season and the school holidays is quieter and better value. Ramadan is the most rewarding but also the busiest and dearest. For families, the school holidays are the easiest time to travel, even though prices are higher.

Are there direct flights from Manchester to Jeddah?

Yes. Saudia flies direct from Manchester (MAN) to Jeddah (JED) in around 6 hours 30 minutes, usually from Terminal 2. Connecting options via Doha, Dubai, Istanbul or Abu Dhabi often cost less. There are no direct flights from Manchester to Madinah, which is reached via a connection.

Which airlines fly from Manchester to Saudi Arabia?

Saudia flies direct to Jeddah. Connecting carriers from Manchester include Qatar Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airways, EgyptAir and Gulf Air. We confirm your airline and terminal when we book.

What's included in a Manchester Umrah package?

Return flights from Manchester (including airport taxes), hotels in both Makkah and Madinah, all transfers, and Nusuk visa support. Packages are based on four sharing. Guided Ziyarat, meals, private transfers, hotel upgrades and travel insurance are optional extras you can add on request.

Is guided Ziyarat included in the package?

No. Guided Ziyarat tours of the historic sites are not part of the standard package, but can be added on request. So can meals, private transfers, hotel upgrades and travel insurance, so you only pay for what you want.

How many nights do I need for Umrah from Manchester?

Most pilgrims choose 7, 10 or 14 nights, split between Makkah and Madinah, for example 4 nights in Makkah and 3 in Madinah on a 7-night trip. Longer stays give more time for prayer and Ziyarat, and we can also build a 12-night package on request.

Do I need a visa for Umrah, and do you arrange it?

You need an approved Umrah visa or an eligible route; the visa itself is issued by the Saudi authorities. We provide Nusuk support and confirm the hotel and transport bookings your visa depends on, so it's arranged as one chain.

How close are the hotels to the Haram?

It depends on your package: 5-star hotels are closest (for example, Makarem Ajyad Makkah is approx. 400m from Masjid al-Haram), with 3 and 4-star a little further. We confirm the exact hotel and its approx. distance before you pay. In Madinah, distances are measured to the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi).

Can I pay for my Umrah in instalments?

Yes. Secure your place with a £49 deposit and spread the balance with a payment plan before you travel. We confirm the deposit, the amounts and the dates in writing, and the quoted price and inclusions are confirmed before booking.

When is the cheapest time for Umrah from Manchester?

Outside Ramadan, the Hajj season and the school holidays, when demand is lower. Booking early secures both lower prices and the hotels you want.

Do you offer cheap Umrah packages from Manchester?

Yes. Our cheap and affordable Umrah packages from Manchester start at £595 per person for a 3-star, 7-night trip, with flights, hotels and transfers included. Choosing a quieter month outside Ramadan and the school holidays, and booking early, usually gives the lowest price.

What should I check before paying for an Umrah package?

Check the company is ATOL protected for flight-inclusive packages and IATA accredited, that your hotels and transport are confirmed on Nusuk, and that you receive an ATOL Certificate listing everything you booked. Ask for the inclusions and any optional extras in writing.

What is the difference between Umrah and Hajj?

Umrah can be performed at any time of year and involves Ihram, Tawaf around the Kaaba and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. Hajj takes place on fixed dates and adds rites at Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah. The Manchester packages on this page are for Umrah; see our Hajj packages if you are planning Hajj.

What is the cheapest flight from Manchester to Saudi Arabia?

Connecting flights via a Gulf or European hub are usually cheaper than the direct Saudia service, while the direct Manchester to Jeddah flight is the quickest. We compare current fares and match you with a flight that suits your budget and dates.

What is the journey from Manchester Airport to Makkah?

You fly from Manchester Airport (MAN) to Jeddah (JED) on Saudia's Manchester to Jeddah route or a connecting airline, then travel on to Makkah by road, usually around one to one and a half hours. We arrange your airport transfer and onward transport to your hotel.

Is my booking ATOL protected?
