Our cheap London Umrah packages use clean, well-run budget hotels, such as the Emaar Diwan Al Sud in Makkah, approx. 900 m from Masjid al-Haram, and the Diyar Al Salam Hotel in Madinah, approx. 650 m from Masjid an-Nabawi. Rooms are usually quad or triple sharing, which keeps the price per person down. It suits first-time pilgrims and anyone travelling on a budget. Return flights, airport and coach transfers, and Umrah e-visa support through Nusuk are all included.

4-star Umrah packages London from £635

Our 4-star London Umrah packages give you more space and a shorter walk to the holy sites, with twin or triple rooms alongside quad-sharing. A typical 4-star trip uses hotels such as the Infinity Hotel Makkah, approx. 750 m from Masjid al-Haram, and Saja Al Madinah, approx. 400 m from Masjid an-Nabawi. It is a good middle choice for families who want more comfort without paying 5-star prices. Flights, transfers and visa support are included as standard.

5-star Umrah packages London from £785

Our 5-star luxury London Umrah packages put you in our nearest hotels to the holy sites, such as the Pullman Zamzam Makkah in the Abraj Al Bait complex, approx. 300 m from Masjid al-Haram, and the Emaar Royal Madinah, approx. 100 m from Masjid an-Nabawi. You get private double rooms or suites and all the usual facilities, often just a few minutes' walk away. It is worth the extra if you are travelling with elderly relatives or young children and want the least walking between prayers. As with every package, your return flights, airport and coach transfers, and Nusuk visa support are included.

What is not included in the Umrah Package from London

So you know what to budget for, these usually cost extra, and we confirm exactly what is and is not included in writing before you pay:

• Meals, unless your package says otherwise. Breakfast is sometimes included in a 5-star package; lunch and dinner are usually your own.
• Guided Ziyarat tours in Makkah and Madinah, available as an optional extra.
• Personal expenses, such as gifts, shopping and Zamzam water to bring home.
• Travel insurance, which we recommend for medical cover during your trip.
• The MenACWY vaccine, which Saudi Arabia requires, and you arrange through your GP or a pharmacy.

You choose the standard, and we confirm your exact hotel and its approx. distance in writing before you pay. Makkah distances are measured to Masjid al-Haram, and Madinah distances to Masjid an-Nabawi.

How much does an Umrah package from London cost?

Umrah packages from London start at £595 per person for a 3-star 7-night trip, £635 for 4-star and £785 for 5-star, based on sharing a room. Longer 10- and 14-night stays and 5-star hotels in peak months cost more, up to around £925 per person, as confirmed in your quote.

Here is how the 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star packages compare by length of stay, from our cheapest 3-star trips to luxury 5-star packages. Every option includes return flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, transfers and Nusuk visa support; the price changes with the hotel standard, the number of nights, and the month you travel.

Prices are per person, sharing. The 7-night split is approx. 4 nights in Makkah, and 3 in Madinah; 10- and 14-night trips add nights in each city. We confirm the exact price for your dates in writing.

What changes the price, and how to pay less

Two people can pay very different amounts for a similar trip, and it usually comes down to a handful of choices. If you are looking for a cheaper Umrah from London, these make the biggest difference:

• Travel in a quieter month: Ramadan and the UK school holidays cost the most; the weeks after Ramadan and the autumn months are usually the cheapest, for the same hotels and flights.
• Share a room: Quad and triple rooms bring the per-person price down, which is why families and groups often pay less each than a couple travelling on their own.
• Book two to six months ahead: Early booking often helps reduce costs by giving you access to better flight prices and more hotel options before availability becomes limited. For Ramadan umrah and peak travel periods, booking several months in advance gives you a better chance of securing your preferred dates.
• Consider a connecting flight: A direct flight from Heathrow is quicker, but a connecting flight from Gatwick, Stansted, Luton or London City often costs less if you do not mind a short stop.
• Check what is not included: A genuine low-cost package should still cover return flights, hotels in both cities, transfers and Nusuk visa support. Ask whether meals, insurance and the MenACWY jab are extra, and get the full list in writing.

When to travel: Umrah from London by month

Umrah runs all year from London, and the month you choose changes the prices the most. The weeks after Ramadan and the autumn months, September to November, are usually the quietest and cheapest. Ramadan, Christmas and the UK school holidays are the busiest and dearest times to travel.

A quick guide to the seasons for a London departure:

• January and February: quiet and low-cost once the New Year passes, and good value for the same hotels and flights.
• Ramadan, around 8 February 2027: the most sought-after time and the most expensive, so book four to six months ahead.
• Easter and the summer school holidays: busier and dearer, but convenient for families with school-age children.
• September to November: usually the cheapest months of the year for Umrah from London.
• December: prices rise around Christmas and the school break.

Umrah pauses for a short period around Hajj in mid-May 2027 and reopens shortly after, so we plan spring 2027 trips around those dates.

Flying to Jeddah from London

Umrah flights leave from all five London airports. Heathrow has the only direct flights to Jeddah, with Saudia and British Airways, and it takes approx. six to seven hours to reach King Abdulaziz International Airport. From Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City, you change planes at a hub like Dubai, Doha or Istanbul, with airlines like Emirates, Qatar Airways or Turkish Airlines. This is usually a bit cheaper. So we can quote Umrah packages from Heathrow with a direct flight to Jeddah, or lower-cost Umrah packages from Gatwick, Stansted or Luton on a connecting route. There are no direct flights between the UK and Madinah, so if your trip starts or ends there, you change planes on the way and land at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport. We confirm your exact flights when you book, as routes change with the season.

Are there direct flights from London to Jeddah?

Yes, from London Heathrow only. Saudia and British Airways fly direct from Heathrow to Jeddah in approx. six to seven hours. Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City use connecting routes through a hub. There are no direct flights from London to Madinah, so a Madinah start or finish is always a connecting route.

Which London airport should you fly from for Umrah?

It depends on what matters most to you. Heathrow has the only direct flights to Jeddah, so it suits families and elderly pilgrims who want the shortest journey. Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City use connecting routes that are usually cheaper. Choose Heathrow for speed, or a connecting airport to save money.

What you need to sort before you travel

A few things to sort before you go. You need a Saudi Umrah e-visa, and we help you apply and register on Nusuk, the official platform of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah that you now need for your visa, hotel and permits. You must have the MenACWY meningitis jab at least 10 days before you fly. From 1 July 2026, the Saudi Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) replaced the older EVW scheme for many visitors, and we tell you which one applies to your passport. Women aged 18 and over can perform Umrah without a mahram under the current Saudi rules. Once in Makkah, you perform Tawaf around the Kaaba and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and many pilgrims add Ziyarah visits in both cities, such as the Rawdah inside Masjid an-Nabawi, the Quba Mosque and Mount Uhud in Madinah.

Women's Umrah packages from London
