Ramadan Umrah Packages 2027 from the UK
Ramadan Umrah packages 2027 are fully bundled trips to Makkah and Madinah during the holy month, with return flights, hotel stays, Umrah visa support and airport transfers all arranged for you. With Makkah Tour, prices start from £795 per person, with 3, 4 and 5-star options across 7, 10 and 14-night stays. Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027 (subject to the moon sighting), so fasting hours are shorter and daytime temperatures gentler than a summer Umrah.
Every flight-inclusive package is financially protected under ATOL against the company's doesn’t deliver the committed services — you receive an ATOL Certificate when you pay, and it is worth checking that it lists everything you have booked.
When does Ramadan 2027 start, and when should I travel?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027 and end around 9 March 2027, with Eid al-Fitr around 10 March — all subject to the official moon sighting. That places the whole month in late winter, which means shorter fasting hours and cooler daytime temperatures in Makkah and Madinah than a summer Umrah.
You can travel for any part of the month. The three ten-day periods, known as the Ashra, each carry their own significance: the first Ashra of mercy, the second of forgiveness, and the third of refuge — which holds the last ten nights and Laylatul Qadr. Because Ramadan 2027 runs from February into early March, our February Umrah packages and March Umrah packages pages cover departures either side of the month too.
Why perform Umrah in Ramadan?
Umrah in Ramadan carries the reward of Hajj. This comes from an authentic hadith recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, in which the Prophet ﷺ said that Umrah performed in Ramadan equals a Hajj in reward. One-point matters here: this is a reward, not a replacement. Performing Umrah in Ramadan does not discharge the obligation of Hajj itself; if you are planning that separately, see our Hajj packages.
Beyond the reward, praying Taraweeh at Masjid al-Haram, breaking your fast within sight of the Kaaba, and spending the final nights in worship are the moments pilgrims most often describe as the highlight of their year.
What is included in a Makkah Tour Ramadan Umrah package?
Every package is fully bundled: UK return flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, Umrah visa support through Nusuk, and transfers between the airport and both cities, with guided ziyarah available on selected tiers. The comparison below shows how the tiers differ, and each tier write-up lists what its price typically covers.
Just as useful is knowing what is not included: meals beyond any stated hotel dining, personal spending, and optional extras such as hotel upgrades or private transport, which can be added when you book. That way, the price you compare is the price you actually pay.

Our 3, 4 & 5-star Ramadan Umrah packages
The main choice you will make is star rating, and it comes down to two things: how much comfort you want, and how close to the mosque you would like to be. All three tiers cover the same core trip — flights, hotels, transfers and visa support — so what changes is the standard of the hotel and its distance from the sanctuary. Rooms are assigned when you book; if a named hotel is full, we substitute one of an equal or higher standard.
3-star Ramadan Umrah packages — from £795pp
Our 3-star Ramadan Umrah packages are a practical option for budget-conscious pilgrims, students, solo travellers and first-time pilgrims looking to perform Umrah during Ramadan while keeping overall travel costs manageable. Packages typically include UK return flights, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, airport and intercity transfers, and Nusuk visa support. In Makkah you might be placed at Emaar Al Khalil, Altayseer Towers or Emaar Diwan Al Sud; in Madinah, at Zowar International, Grand Zowar or Diyar Al Salam Silver, each an approximate walk from Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi. Where a hotel sits a little further out, a shuttle service runs to and from the Haram, so you can save your energy for prayer rather than the walk. It fits students, first-time pilgrims and anyone travelling solo or watching the cost. Available across 7, 10 and 14-night stays, the 3-star tier is suited to pilgrims who prioritise the essential parts of their Ramadan Umrah journey.
4-star Ramadan Umrah packages — from £845pp
Our 4-star Ramadan Umrah packages suit couples and families looking for a balance between comfort, location and price. Packages typically include return flights, 4-star accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, shared transfers and Nusuk visa support. Makkah choices include Emaar Grand, Emaar Al Manar and Emaar Elite Makkah, while your Madinah base may be Mias Hotel, Emaar Elite Madinah or Grand Plaza Badr Al Maqam. Rates are normally quoted per person on a double or triple-sharing basis, so the cost per traveller eases as the group grows. Available across 7, 10 and 14-night stays, these packages give UK pilgrims a practical middle option between budget and premium Ramadan Umrah travel.
5-star Ramadan Umrah packages — from £930pp
Our 5-star Ramadan Umrah packages are designed for pilgrims who place greater importance on hotel category and proximity to Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi. Packages typically include return flights, 5-star hotels in both cities, private transfer options, guided ziyarah on selected packages and priority support. In Makkah the stays include Makarem Ajyad, Anjum Hotel and Swissôtel Makkah, set close to Masjid al-Haram; in Madinah, Dorrar Aleiman Royal, Dar Al Taqwa and Dar Al Eiman Al Haram sit within a few minutes of Masjid an-Nabawi. Selected packages at this level add private transfers and guided ziyarah to the historic sites.
Each tier runs for 7, 10 or 14 nights, split between Makkah and Madinah. A 7-night trip suits a first Umrah or a tighter schedule; 10 and 14 nights give you room to settle in and, if timed right, to catch the last ten nights. You can compare every option on our Umrah packages page, or go straight to our 5-star Ramadan Umrah packages for the premium tier.
What are the last 10 nights and Laylatul Qadr packages?
The last ten nights of Ramadan hold Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, described in the Qur'an as better than a thousand months. Our Last 10-night Ramadan Umrah packages are built around this period, so you can spend these nights in prayer at the holy mosques.
Demand for the final ten nights is the highest of the entire year, and the hotels closest to the Haram are reserved earliest. If Laylatul Qadr is your priority, booking early is the single most important thing you can do.
Which UK cities can I depart from?
We offer Ramadan Umrah packages UK-wide, with departures from major airports including London, Manchester and Birmingham. Direct flights to Jeddah (King Abdulaziz International Airport) are available from Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham, flown by Saudia among other carriers. From other UK airports, and for arrivals into Madinah (Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport), your routing is via a connection — see our flights to Madinah for connecting options.
Departing from a specific city? Start with our Umrah packages from London, Manchester or Birmingham pages, or tell us your nearest airport and we will match a package to a departure that works for you.
Where will I stay in Makkah and Madinah?
Your package includes hotels in both cities. In Makkah, hotels are chosen for their proximity to Masjid al-Haram; in Madinah, distances are measured to Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet's Mosque. Walking distance to the mosque is the detail most pilgrims care about during Ramadan, when you make that journey several times a day. You can browse the properties we work with on our Makkah hotels and Madinah hotels pages.
The table below shows the Makkah and Madinah hotels featured across our current Ramadan packages, with approximate walking distances. Final hotel allocation is confirmed when you book.

Which ziyarah sites can I visit in Makkah and Madinah? (Optional)
Ziyarah — guided visits to the historic sites of the Seerah — turns the history you have read into ground you stand on. Around Makkah, tours take in Jabal al-Noor, where the received the first revelation; Jabal Thawr, where the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) sheltered during the Hijrah; and the plains of Arafat, where the rites of Hajj unfold each year. Many pilgrims also stop at Masjid Aisha in Taneem, the nearest Miqat for anyone intending a second Umrah during their stay.
In Madinah, the route usually opens at Masjid Quba, which the Prophet ﷺ established on reaching the city during the Hijrah; the Sunnah records that praying two rak'ahs inside it brings a reward likened to that of Umrah. Tours then take in Mount Uhud and the martyrs buried at its foot, Jannat al-Baqi — the historic burial cemetery beside the Prophet's Mosque — and Masjid Qiblatain, remembered as the spot where the qiblah was turned towards the Kaaba. Guided ziyarah is included on selected packages and can be added to any tier when you book.
Where do I enter Ihram when travelling from the UK?
Ihram is the state of consecration you must be in before crossing the Miqat, the boundary fixed for pilgrims approaching Makkah. On a UK to Jeddah flight, you cross the Miqat in the air, so most pilgrims change into the Ihram garments at their departure airport or during a stopover, and make the intention when the crew announce the Miqat is near. If your package begins in Madinah, you travel to Makkah by road and enter Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali), the Miqat just outside the city. Our team confirms the right point for your specific routing before you fly.
How does the Umrah visa work?
Your Umrah visa is arranged with Nusuk support. Visa requirements depend on your nationality, passport and current Saudi entry rules. Our team will guide you through the appropriate visa route and any required Nusuk procedures before travel. For most UK travellers the requirements are straightforward: a passport with at least six months' validity from your travel date, a recent passport-style photo, and your completed personal details. We provide guidance at every step and flag anything that needs correcting before it causes a delay — worth doing early, because Ramadan is the busiest visa period of the year.

Women can travel for Umrah without a mahram (a male guardian) under current Saudi travel arrangements, subject to the traveller's nationality, visa requirements and any current Saudi regulations. Contact us for the latest guidance before booking. Our group Umrah packages for women are a natural fit for solo female pilgrims and for groups of friends or family travelling together.
