Where will I stay in Makkah and Madinah?

Your package includes hotels in both cities. In Makkah, hotels are chosen for their proximity to Masjid al-Haram; in Madinah, distances are measured to Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet's Mosque. Walking distance to the mosque is the detail most pilgrims care about during Ramadan, when you make that journey several times a day. Which ziyarah sites can I visit in Makkah and Madinah? (Optional)

Ziyarah — guided visits to the historic sites of the Seerah — turns the history you have read into ground you stand on. Around Makkah, tours take in Jabal al-Noor, where the received the first revelation; Jabal Thawr, where the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) sheltered during the Hijrah; and the plains of Arafat, where the rites of Hajj unfold each year. Many pilgrims also stop at Masjid Aisha in Taneem, the nearest Miqat for anyone intending a second Umrah during their stay.

In Madinah, the route usually opens at Masjid Quba, which the Prophet ﷺ established on reaching the city during the Hijrah; the Sunnah records that praying two rak'ahs inside it brings a reward likened to that of Umrah. Where do I enter Ihram when travelling from the UK?

Ihram is the state of consecration you must be in before crossing the Miqat, the boundary fixed for pilgrims approaching Makkah. On a UK to Jeddah flight, you cross the Miqat in the air, so most pilgrims change into the Ihram garments at their departure airport or during a stopover, and make the intention when the crew announce the Miqat is near. If your package begins in Madinah, you travel to Makkah by road and enter Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali), the Miqat just outside the city. How does the Umrah visa work?

Your Umrah visa is arranged with Nusuk support. Visa requirements depend on your nationality, passport and current Saudi entry rules.
