Lailatul Qadr means “night of power”. This is one of the most important nights in the religion Islam. The other important nights are the “Lailatul Qadr”, “Shab-e-Barat” and the “Shab-e-Miraj”, these all nights have very much importance in the religion and the Muslims try to earn much blessings of Allah by pleasing Him.

Importance of Lailatul Qadr

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran

“Verily! We have sent it [the Holy Quran] down in the Night of Power (Lailatul Qadar). And what will make you know [Muhammad PBUH] what the Night of Power is? This Night is much more Powerful for blessings than the thousand months! Therein descend the angels and the Rooh [Angel Gabriel] by Allah’s permission with all decrees. Peace! (or – there is peace and quiet with any decree in this night) [It lasts] until the appearance of dawn” (the Holy Quran, 97).

• This is the night when the Holy Quran was sent to the Muslim Ummah.

• At this night Angels are sent to the Earth and Allah Almighty forgives His people.
• This night, the Angel Jibreel also come on the earth.
• It is a peaceful and remarkable night.Fazail of Lailatul QadrHazrat Ayesha (RA) stated that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said,”Find Lailatul-Qadar in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan.” (Bukhari)Hazrat Ayesha (RA) also told this that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) offer the longest prayers and practices in the last “Ashra” and also advised the Muslim Ummah to pray in these last ten days of Ramadan.The DUAA for the night of Lailatul QADR:To translate the Duaa in English, it goes like,”O Allah! You are the Forgiver and You like forgiving, so forgive me”

Abu Huraira RA reported: We were talking about Lailat-ul-Qadr in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) and He said:

“He who amongst you remembers (the night) when the moon arose and it was like a piece of plate (at the fag end of the month in a state of waning).”

Narrated ‘Ibn Abbas (RA) in this quotation:

Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said:
“The Night of Qadr is in the last ten nights of the month of Ramazan either on the first nine or in the last seven nights of Ramazan.”

If any Muslim finds this night then it’s a great blessing for him. Although, there is a lot reward of offering any kid of prayer but the reward of offering prayer in this night is like we are offering the prayers for the thousands of months of our life. What practices to do in LailatulQadr?

LailatulQadr is among the Holy nights for the Muslims. During this nights, the reward of the recitation and the prayer increased thousand times. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said:

“This night (LailatulQadr) is better than thousand months”. It means that if we offer prayers this night than it is just as we offer prayers and do the recitation constantly in thousand months.

So, for such a great and much costly night, the great way of offering prayers is described below;

1st night of LailatulQadr (21^st of Ramadan)

1) Offer 4 rakat prayer

Offer this by each 2 rakat prayer. Recitation of Surah Fatihaand one-time Surah Qadrand Surah Ikhlas is very helpful in offering prayer in the first night. Then you should recite Durood pak at least seventy times.

2) Offer 2 rakat prayer

In this, offer the same surahs three times. After completing the practice, recite the Astagfar for seventy times.

3) on the 21^st night, reciting Surah-e-QADR for 21 times is blissful.

2nd night of LailatulQadr (23^rd of Ramadan)

1) Offer 4 rakat prayer

In each rakat, after Surah Fatiha, recite one time the Surah Qadr once and Surah Ikhlas three times.

2) Offer 8 rakatprayer

In this, recite Surah Fatiha, Surah Qadrand Surah Ikhlas. Then recite KalimaTamjeed 70 times.

3) Also recite Surah Rahman and the Surah Yaasiin for many times.

3rd night of Lailatul-Qadr (25^th of Ramadan)

 1) Offer 4 rakatnamaz

Recite Surah Fatiha and Surah Qadronce and Surah Ikhlas five times.Then recite the Kalima Tayyab for at least 100 times.

2) Offer 2rakat as following

Recite Surah Fatiha, Surah Qadr once and Surah Ikhlas 15 times. Then recite Kalima-e-Shahaadat 70 times.

4th night of LailatulQadr (27^th of Ramadan)

1) Pray 12 rakat namaaz as following:

After reciting Surah Fatiha, recite Surah Qadr once and Surah Ikhlaas fifteen times and then, Astaghfar parayer for the 70 times.

2) Pray four rakat salat as

Recite Surah Fatiha, Surah Takaasur once and Surah Ikhlass three times.

3) Offer 2 rakat

In this recite Surahh FATIHA, recite Surah IKHLAS seven times

4) Pray four rakat

Recite Surah Fatiha, Surah Qadr three times and Surah Ikhlas fifty times and after completion recites ajdah:

“SUBHAAN ALLAAHI WAL HAMDU LILLAAHI WALAA ILAAHA ILLAL LAAHU W0ALLAA HU AKBAR”

5) Recitation of Surah Mulk 7 times is very helpful in increasing “rizq” (food).

5th night of LailatulQadr (29^th of Ramadan)

1) Pray four rakatprayer

In each rakat,recite Surah Fatihaand Surah Qadaronce and Surahh IKHLAS three times. Then after that, recite the Surah of ALAM’NASHRAH for the 70 times.

2) recite the Surah WAAQIAH for seven times.
